Gold: Must see movie this Independence Day!

Although we play an extraordinary amount of cricket, field hockey is the national sport of India. India won its Independence from the British Crown in 1947, and participated in the 1948 Olympics in London as a free country for the first time. Ironically, they faced their former rulers, Great Britain, in the finals, as equals! we aren’t giving anything away by telling you that India won the Gold. This movie is about the high sea of emotions at the time. Akshay Kumar, Kunal Kapoor and the team work wonders with the backdrop of the hard won Independence, and the Partition of India and Pakistan. The game of hockey, but so much more is thrashed out on the field.

Here’s a sneak peek at a movie being released on August 15, 2018, the day of India’s Independence from the British.
