There’s a Fearless Girl on Wall Street!

A bronze statue of a bull has been on Wall Street, the headquarters of America’s stockmarket, since 1989.

A bull? Yes! The Bull is a symbol of when the stock market is doing well. The Bear is a symbol of when the stock market is not doing as well.

This week, sculptor Kristen Vibal’s bronze statue of a spunky, defiant girl has been placed on Wall Street in recognition of Womens’ Day which was earlier this week on March 8, 2017. . Her name is “Fearless Girl”. She is staring the Bull down, and is a statement against the current inequality between men and women in positions of leadership. She has permission to be there for the next 30 days. We hope she gets to stay forever!
