North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump finally met in Singapore yesterday. You will remember that they threw blustery words back and forth last year and at times, it seemed as though the countries were on the brink of a nuclear war.
Well, yesterday was truly historic. Trump is the first US President who has met a North Korean leader while in office. They signed an important document pledging to work together to de-nuclearise Korea and to adjust US military presence in the Korean peninsula. We don’t have any more details than that.
What exactly have they promised to do? That part is a bit unclear, but it looks like the unthinkable might be possible! The two countries might have a better relationship going forward!
