Emmanuel Macron won the race to become President of France. He got a little more than 66% of the votes, versus his opponent, Marine Le Pen, who got 33.9% of the votes. He will take office (start to work as President) on May 14, 2017. He has changed the name of his political party from En Marche (On the Move) to Le Republique En Marche (The Republic on the Move).

This means that France will remain in the European Union. Click here to see the main differences between the two in the Presidential Race https://currentkids.in/vive-la-france/
