A group called Greenwave.org has responded to the alarm bell of rising greenhouse gases and global warming in an unusual manner. The founder, Bren Smith, a fisherman, has introduced the idea of 3D ocean farming, where they grow seaweed and shellfish in vertical columns under the surface of the ocean. This allows collection of carbon and fertilisers, providing nutrients to the sea life. It also provides humans with shellfish to eat! So if we would just eat more shellfish and reduce the amount we farm on land, we could reduce carbon emissions!
